LPE: We will not be an easy opponent to beat – Guardiola spoke firmly, warning Arsenal

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has sounded tough as he warned Arsenal that his side will not be  easy opponents to beat when the two sides clash in the Premier League  this weekend.

Guardiola also said he never had any doubts about his Manchester City players after they recovered from back-to-back defeats to  RB Leipzig in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League clash.

Recall that Man City was eliminated from the Carabao Cup by Newcastle last week  before suffering a shock defeat to Wolves in the Premier League.

But the Premier League champions traveled to Leipzig on Wednesday in the Champions League and won 3-1.

When asked about the importance of showing such form ahead of Sunday's match against Arsenal  at the Emirates, Guardiola told TNT Sports:

“Yes, but I won't judge my team based on results. “The two games [against Newcastle and Wolves] may not have been the best performances but it's not easy having 10 players defending in the box.

“Ten players in defence, five players, four players, one attacker and one defensive midfielder all in the box, it's not easy!

“So it happened, we were unlucky with the first goal, we weren't precise enough and it happened. There are plenty of games for me to figure it out.

“But despite that, if you think I will doubt  the players or doubt  what we will do this season because today we could lose again, then you are wrong. You are  the wrong person to ask these questions.  “I believe in these guys unconditionally, whether they win or not, because I know their training, their mentality and they have proven it.

"And now we go to Arsenal to play our match. Let's rest and hopefully we can get to March, April, May to be there [in the title race], close to tournaments.

“And I have a feeling we won't be an easy opponent to beat.”
