UCL: He never looks - Thierry Henry criticizes Arsenal star

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has criticized defender William Saliba's defending during Arsenal's recent UEFA Champions League defeat to RC Lens.

Arsenal took an early lead  on Tuesday night through Gabriel Jesus, but suffered their first defeat of the season after goals from Adrien Thomasson and Elye Wahi gave the French Ligue 1 side a 2-1 win.

But Henry was not impressed with Saliba's efforts, claiming that the midfielder was unable to get Wahi into the box.

“Elye, he's special when it comes to that (finishing).

“First  let's talk about how he stays away from Saliba. You see, you don't have to  break your neck, Saliba will be ahead of you from the first ball and keep a good position between the two lines and Wahi can do that, he can finish very well.

“Can we talk about Saliba? Space never scored a goal. Can you see where your attacker is? He never looked to see where his number 9 was. “Only number 9 can score there. He never watches what Wahi does, he never watches! He never looked! You need to check your shoulder,” Henry told CBS Sports.
